We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, we absolutely love to see our products featured in magazines, newspapers, blogs and other types of media. That’s why we were thrilled to see our little Stoppy featured in “Home News” in the July issue of Parents Magazine. As shown, Stoppy, our cute doorstop is versatile and “can also be used to prop open windows and keep books and magazines standing upright on a shelf.” You’ll find more fun and creative ways to use Stoppy on our website along with a list of stores where it can be purchased.
Thanks to the editors of Parents magazine for including Stoppy in their summer issue!

Over the years, we’ve tried many different laser levels but never found one that worked well for hanging pictures. That is, until now. Recently, we used Black & Decker’s new SureGrip™, along with Hang & Level™ to hang these three pictures. It took us less than ten minutes to hang them all perfectly leveled and we didn’t make any extra holes in the walls.
The SureGrip laser level projects a straight line on the wall while the suction cup keeps your hands free. Hang & Level helps you line up the top of the frame with the laser line, and marks exactly where the nail goes. Using both tools together makes the perfect picture hanging combination that will save you time and frustration.
Find the right height for your display:
Use a measuring tape or our HeightGuide™ to find the right height for your display. Ours hangs at 60″ from the floor to the center of the image, which is the perfect standing eye height.
Using Hang & Level, hang the first frame, level it and secure it in place withAnchor Points™.
Spacing your frames:
Cut 2 pieces of low adhesive tape (painter’s tape or SpacerTape™) identical in size. Place one directly against the right and left edge of the frame already on the wall.

Position the laser level:
Turn on the laser and while holding it against the wall, move it up and down until you get a straight line running right across the top of the frame already on the wall. Once you have the right spot, push the SureGrip button to secure it on the wall. Adjust the position of the laser, the light will turn green when it’s leveled.

Hang your next frame:
Using Hang & Level, line up the second frame with the end of the tape and the top with the laser line. Remove the frame from the tool, mark the spot, hammer the nail in and hang your picture.

Completing your display:
Repeat the steps above to hang the last frame. Once you are done, remove the laser level and the spacing tape from the wall.

About the frames
We used identical frames in this example, but you can use the same steps to hang items of different sizes, just line up the tops or bottoms of the frames using the laser line as a guide.

We love it when people try out our products so they can see for themselves what all the fuss is about. We especially love it when they take the time to review them. And that’s exactly what Alan Henry of Lifehacker.com did. A few months ago, there was a discussion on Lifehacker about how to hang art without damaging walls. Readers were asked if they would use a paint can stirrer and a screw to get the job done or if they would buy a Hang & Level instead. Because Hang & Level was designed specifically to hang pictures without causing damage to your walls, we wanted Alan to see for himself how easy it is to use. Liette, the inventor of the tool, sent one over for him to try and after using it, Alan admitted “Hang and Level makes positioning photos and art together on the wall quick and easy.” You can read the complete review here….http://lifehacker.com/5864086/the-hang-and-level-makes-positioning-photos-and-art-together-on-the-wall-quick-and-easy

That’s what Mariette Mifflin of About.com said after testing Hang & Level. When she started the testing, she was a bit skeptical and didn’t think the tool would perform as well as we claimed. But after hanging a 24”X 32” canvas oil all by herself and on the first try, she announced, “I now know that I can tackle pictures by myself and get them right.“
She gave Hang & Level 2 thumbs up and recommends it as “a must-have for those who move a lot or like to rearrange their living space often. With this gadget, you‘ll be anxious to get your pictures, paintings or wall decor up and running.“ Read the complete review……

We like nothing better than hearing real life success stories from customers who’ve discovered that picture hanging doesn’t have to be hard. Recently, successful blogger Kimba shared her experience with Hang & Level on her blog A Soft Place to Land and her readers responded with enthusiasm.
In an attempt to learn the secret of successful picture hanging, Kimba stumbled upon Hang & Level on the internet. She declared, ‘I couldn’t live another day without one in my hot little hands’, and after purchasing the tool at Target, easily hung her beautiful picture arrangement without leaving ‘Swiss cheese walls.’

My First Time – Hanging a picture grouping
For years I have looked at my living room walls, and the run of the mill artwork that hung there and wished I could change it. What I really wanted was to hang pictures of my family, but I was terrified to even attempt a photo arrangement. How would I space the frames properly? How would I make sure they were all level? What if I did a bad job?
The idea of measuring, planning, and hanging four frames on my wall was completely overwhelming to me, so I put it off. Even with the frames purchased, it took me longer than three weeks to get up the nerve to tackle the project. But with the holidays quickly approaching, I couldn’t procrastinate any longer. I had family coming, and I wanted to be able to show off the new photo wall.
To get ready for the project, I took out my Picture Hanging Kit and prepared my supplies. I laid out the frames on the floor and tried the pictures in different variations before deciding on the formation I liked best. Finally, I couldn’t put it off any longer.
I took the HeightGuide and taped it to the wall to determine how high I should hang my arrangement. Using it as a guide, I found the perfect height for everyone to enjoy the photos. Next, I was ready to start with my first picture. Using the Hang & Level, it was easy to figure out exactly where I wanted it to go. I pushed the button and hammered in my nail. Next came the part that terrified me. Spacing.
As it turns out, I had nothing to be worried about. I used the SpacerTape, ripped off three squares and stuck it to the wall. Using that as a guide, I could easily place the next pictures without fooling around with a measuring tape. I decided to line up the bottoms of the frames to keep them all level and after a few more nails, I was done.
The entire arrangement took less than thirty minutes to hang and it looks fantastic! With friends and family coming over for the holidays, I couldn’t be prouder to show off my family photo wall and now that I know how easy it really is to make a stunning grouping, I can’t wait to try it out in the other rooms of my house.

A few weeks ago we handed over a couple of Stoppy™ door stops to our friend Carli B. Carli hadn’t seen the product before, and much to our delight, a few days later, sent in the review of the product posted below. You can check out some more of Carli’s great writing at her new blog called “Lavish – eating your heart out in Calgary” [link].

If you’re at all like me, some poor shoe of yours has fallen victim to the old ‘hold the door open’ routine. We’ve all been there, and we all have our reasons for why we didn’t just cave and purchase a good old-fashioned doorstopper. My reason? They’re unsightly! I didn’t want some old wooden wedge sitting around my front entry looking homely and scratching my hardwood floors in the process. Sadly, this continual refusal to purchase a doorstopper unfortunately doomed my precious shoe collection to double duty: look fabulous and hold a door open when necessary
That was, until, I came across the Stoppy! This little tool is the first doorstopper I’ve encountered that is totally functional and completely pleasant to look at! It’s super affordable, comes in several different colors to accommodate decor, has a soft, rubbery surface so it doesn’t scratch floors, and it’s use goes far beyond just being a doorstopper. So far, my uses for the Stoppy include: a doorstopper for when I bring my groceries in through the garage, a flexible little wedge to keep my windows open, a doorstopper for doors on the upper level of my home (When I have windows open upstairs, a draft runs through my house that tends to slam at least one door shut a day…but thanks to Stoppy, no longer!), a doorstopper for my Jeep (Jeeps don’t have spring-loaded doors, they’re just attached by regular hinges for easy removal and tend to swing around in the wind. With the Stoppy, I simply wedge my Jeep doors open and can quickly and efficiently unload my car without worrying about the door constantly shutting on me.), and finally, my most exciting use for the Stoppy so far, is as a funky and flexible book end!
The Stoppy is a great product I highly recommend. It’s a cute little addition to my home that serves multiple purposes without the look of something that is totally functional and not at all aesthetic. Thanks to the Stoppy, my shoes have been released from double duty and can now focus exclusively on being fabulous, because now, I have a fabulous little tool to take care of the rest.

Back in March, the decorating blog Rainy Day Renovations did a First Look review of the Hang & Level™ picture hanging tool. They did a great overview of the tool, and highlighted one definite advantage of using Hang & Level:
We have a few “hanging projects” we need to do around the office. We’ll report back with a First Use write-up when we have had a chance to give the Hang & Level a go. We are pretty sure the maintenance guy will be happy to know that, with the Hang & Level, at least he won’t have so much patching and painting follow up work after one of our “redecorating benders.”
Fast forward to June, when the purchase of a new flat screen TV meant that wall space had to be cleared and the pictures on it rehung in a new location. Fifteen minutes later, it was all done:
We were quite impressed with how much easier the Hang & Level made hanging the frames. The task of placing, nailing, and hanging took less than fifteen minutes for the four frames. Best of all, we got the placement of all four fames exactly where we wanted them on the first try.
